The Acqua di SM Novella is the oldest fragrance of the Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. It the perfume that Caterina de 'Medici commissioned from the Dominican friars in 1533 and was brought to France for her wedding with Enrico di Valois. It is a fresh and citrusy bouquet, based on Calabria bergamot.
The mold of the bottle recalls the shapes of the glass used by the Officina in the last two centuries of its history and is the guise, as well as of the Acqua di SMNovella Profumo, also of all the Cologne waters created by Santa Maria Novella later.
